Membership

For overnight stays at the Youth and Family Hostels Carinthia, membership in the Austrian Youth Hostel Association (ÖJHV) is required for individuals, families, or groups. This membership can be obtained for the current year or through a daily membership (Welcome Stamp).

The Austrian Youth Hostel Association (ÖJHV) is part of the global organization Hostelling International, where all nonprofit youth hostels offer accommodation options for their members.

Membership in Hostelling International offers more than just a comfortable bed! It warmly welcomes you into a vast, international family where you can exchange experiences, travel, and make friendships with people from all over the world!

Becoming a member is easy:
You can go directly to our online order form or simply visit one of our offices. You also have the option to obtain the card at our youth hostels.

Validity:
The current youth hostel membership card is valid worldwide until December 31st of the current calendar year and can be applied for at any time during this period! From October-November onwards, you can already apply for the new card for the following year - but it is valid immediately.
